About Oksana . . . . .

Oksana began her career as a fashion designer  when she graduated from the Lviv Institute of Decorative and Applied Art in Lviv, Ukraine.  Oksana then went to work at the Kyiv House of Fashion, while also an instructor teaching the History of Costume at the Kyiv Artistic-Industrial College.  She next worked for several private fashion agencies and clothiers in Kyiv (EKSTA, ROKSOLANA, VICTA) as a designer, stylist, and production manager.  After having her first child, Oksana went on to complete an MBA at the International Management Institute (IMI-Kyiv).  She then worked as an account executive for the IMAGE DDB and MERIDIAN advertising agencies until moving to Prague in 2000.  Following two more children and a move to the United States, Oksana began doing occasional contract work both in women's fashions and home interior design.  She now resides in Brighton, Michigan with her husband and three children.  In 2010 she launched OKsana's Lines, a sole proprietorship offering creative solutions in fashion and home design.

In the spring of 2011 Oksana’s career took a new turn.  An interior design client asked her to create a dress for her daughter, a figure skating student.  The dress caught the attention of her coach at the Ann Arbor Skating Club, who soon encouraged the ice dancers she coaches to consider Oksana as a designer.  Since then Oksana has been designing and producing original costumes for ice dancing pairs that compete nationally and internationally, as well as for individual female figure skaters.
